Renting an Exotic Car in Miami as an International Visitor

Bring the following:

• Your home-country driver's license (original, not a photocopy).
• An International Driving Permit (IDP) issued in your home country alongside the license. We accept IDPs from any country.
• A credit card in your name for the security-deposit authorization. Debit cards are not accepted for the deposit.
• Your passport — useful as secondary ID.
• The reservation confirmation email.

Insurance — what to confirm before you fly

The daily rate includes Florida statutory liability coverage. That coverage protects third parties if you cause an accident. It does not cover damage to the rental vehicle itself.

For collision coverage, most international guests rely on the rental-coverage their premium credit card provides. The two things to confirm with your card issuer before arrival:

• Is the coverage primary or secondary? Primary means the card pays first; secondary means it kicks in after your home auto policy.
• What is the vehicle value cap? Many premium cards (Amex Platinum, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Capital One Venture X) cap at $50K–$75K MSRP, which excludes most exotic cars.

American Express Premium Car Rental Protection is one of the few products that explicitly covers exotic rentals — confirm directly with Amex.

If your card does not cover, ask us about supplemental policies through Bonzah or Sure. We do not sell branded insurance.

Age

Minimum age for most luxury and SUV models is 25. Some high-performance supercars (Aventador, SF90, 720S) require 25+ with a clean driving record and may ask for proof of supplemental coverage.

Credit card hold

The security-deposit hold runs $1,000–$7,000 depending on the car. The hold sits on your card for the duration of the rental plus 5–10 business days afterward. Make sure the card has the full hold amount available — that money will not be usable elsewhere during that period.

Delivery from MIA

We meet you at arrivals at MIA with your name on a sign at no cost. Tell us your flight at booking. We time the handoff to your landing, walk you through the car at curb, and you drive off.

Common mistakes by first-time international renters

• Forgetting the IDP. The home license alone is not enough. Apply for the IDP in your home country two weeks before travel.
• Using a debit card. Deposit hold requires credit card.
• Not confirming card coverage. Many guests assume their card covers and find out at pickup that the value cap excludes the rental.
• Underestimating tolls. Sunpass is $15 per day flat — fine for normal Miami driving, less fine if you do not budget for it.
